How Many Times Did You Go?

Hey there, BTTF fans...now that the ride is closed, how many times did you have the chance to be in it?

I went twice...June 1996 and January 2003.

I went in May 1995, December 2003, September 2004 and November 2005.
Do you know what will be the attraction/ride instead of BTTF ride?

reply

I've lost count but i'm guessing somewhere around 75-100 times. I live in Burbank, CA and i can see the park at nights when the lights are on from my house. The building is still there though

I was on it twice (In the same day), November, 1997.

Once in 1991 and again in 1998. First was in universsal studios in Orlando Florida, the second time was in Universal studios in hollywood Ca.

I'm a huge BTTF fanboy dork, I try to visit Universal at least once a year, so I've been on it more times than I can count lol I know alot of people thought it was outdated and corny, but I think Universal lost a bit of it's "magic" on March 30th, and the Simpsons does not have me excited at all honestly. Now, if it were a Futurama ride on the other hand....

reply

I went to Universal Studios Florida twice. Once on Halloween 1991 and then in June of 1999. On each ocassion I went on the ride several times. It's sad to hear that it's gone.

Went To the Orlando one in 1991 when i was Five...

Hollywood one hmmm 96,97,98,and recently in July 28 2007 on my twentith Birthday...That was the best thing to do on my big 20!!!!!Very Sad that the Ride is gonna be history....

reply

Funny, my birthday is on the 28th as well. I just turned 18 this year. :D

I've been on the Orlando ride several times throughout 2001-2004, and the Hollywood ride a couple of times back in 2006. I was quite saddened to hear that it was being closed down. I love(d) that ride. SO many memories! :(

reply

I went on that ride seven times (June 1992 once, August 1993 once, October 1994 three times, and October 1999 twice). I remember back when I went to Universal Studios Florida for the first time in the summer of 1992, and didn't exactly know what the ride was about. I didn't really understand it until the third time I went on it because I finally became familiar with the Back to the Future Trilogy by then.

I want to say to all of you that went on the ride that we can be glad that we got to see it, laught with it, and enjoy it a whole lot while it lasted. For all those that never got to get on it, I'm very sorry you missed it.

I still have photos from that ride when I waited in line. I will keep those memories until the year 2015. After that, I'll throw the memories away like I never knew it; but for now, I think I should remember that ride all I can before it's too late.

I was there just once at June 10th 1991. Was 9 years old then.

First time I went to orlando's Universal Studios was summer 1994, then again in 1996, 1998, 1999, 2003 and 2004. Each time, I had numerous shots of the BTTF ride.

The last time I was on it was may 2005 when I went to Hollywood. Can't believe I'll never be on it again (unless I go to Japan lol).

reply

June 1994 and July 1999. I rode this attraction a record 14 times! Its a shame they took this and Kongfrontation out of the Orlando park.

Too many times to count. We went to the park like once every two years. This is one of the rides we would get off of and get right back on over and over and over never ceased to thrill me. It was a great ride. Great theming and acting. And I loved getting shouted at by christopher Lloyde. It made me feel like I was part of the movie. I hate that Universal Studios is starting to deviate from its original concept of putting guest in there favorite movies. I want less roller coasters and more movie themed rides. If you build a roller coaster do it like the mummy ride. Have a story. Don't just build a roller coaster to build a roller coaster.

reply

You got that right.

Universal really skimped on the Simpsons ride, esp dumbing it way down to simulate a roller-coaster ride.

BTTF-TR is 'timeless.' No doubt the DVD release will be a favourite among BTTF fans, whether they had chance to ride or esp for those who didn't get chance.

Twice a year, EVERY year since opening in 1991 to July 2000. I wanted to go again before the 2007 closing, but for some reason I could no longer afford it...
