In Hollywood...It's gone.
BTTF closed to the public yesterday at 8pm to little fanfare...there was a 25 minute wait and very few guests who got on board for the end. Soon after, staffers from NBC Universal, Special Guests, and crew members got to get on the final rides. The Ride officially shut down at 10pm, the lights and other equipment went dark and everyone inside had to leave the building. The marquee outdoor read "Goodbye". Almost immediately, the ride was boarded up, the signs and other references to Back to the Future the Ride were removed, and other items inside the building were taken down as construction began on the new ride.
The next day, Univeral Studios removed all references to BTTF The Ride on its website and other Universal Studios literature.
