you get to watch the actor up close and personal wipe his butt (John Lithgow). Call me shallow, I'd like to think I watch movies with an open mind but not an open sphincter.

I think the scene worked well in that the Lithgow character felt invaded at that point - to his privacy

My mind closed erly on toward Eyes Wide Shut as soon as Nicole Kidman urinated then blotted herself with T. P. probably the last thing many people do before leaving he house, but I don't want/need to see it. It added nothing to the film or the character.
