Final scene / minor rant

I thought the last scene with Richard and Gene holding up the sign that says "Partners Forever" was very touching considering it would be their final film together.

Also, I can't believe how low this film is rated considering some of the utter crap that's rated in the 6's and 7's. This is no classic by any means, and sure it suffers from comparisons to Silver Streak, Stir Crazy & See No Evil, Hear No Evil, but it's far from deserving of such a low rating (4.8). I don't believe my admiration for Richard and Gene is blinkering my opinion on this one, though admittedly I would have enjoyed a movie with the pair of them discussing drying paint.

I hate to spoil the movie for you but Wilder has said in various interviews that he and Pryor were never friends. And this movie deserves lower than a 4...but people like me love Pryor and Wilder too much. Its kind of like Eddie Murphy. You know Pluto Nash and Meet Dave were terrible, but you'll always find something good about it. But this movie....its terrible. It isn't Pryor or Wilder's fault, they did all they could to save it....but this writing is horrible.

Does not matter if they were friends or not.
They were a great comedic partnership and provided amazing screen chemistry between them.

And so, God came forth and proclaimed widescreen is the best.

Much as I love Beverly Hills Cop, Trading Places and Coming to America, Pluto Nash was a stinker.

Oh, good GRIEF! That would have been CLASSIC.... of course, I had a Prof from England (and one from Egypt who had an Oxford accent).... I could have listened to them read the dictionary... or the phonebook!
