Michael really should have done more acting

I saw this film for the first time the other night and it was just a lovely piece of work. I gave it an extra star just because my hero was in the starring role but I have to say that the subtlety of Michael's performance is utterly brilliant.

I absolutely love Michael's travel docs and his work with Python in equal measure but I couldn't help thinking at the end of this film, with a tinge of sadness, just what a criminal waste it is that he hasn't done a lot more acting.

His travel docs are so thoroughly entertaining (and in my view important) and whilst I wouldn't have wanted him to sacrifice making any of those wonderful programmes it really is a great pity he didn't find more time to demonstrate further his acting ability.

I guess what I'm saying is I want to have my cake and eat it.
