It was so tragic...quite possibly the most true film about the madness of love than the romantic nonsense we see spewed out in the media usually.
Love is madness! The more you love, the less you think!!!
~ Oh God I hated that scene! What I hate the most is that after Paco did that horrible thing, he just left her body to lay and than he ran to that dirty old hoe. Paco could've atleast call someone to help or her family to let them know what happend. I always found that sad.

I can´t be sure but it seems to me like Paco killed her. She asked and pleaded for him to end her life and since he did not love her and wanted to see her dead, he did. This seems reinforced when he heads to the station and smears the windows with his bloody hands, as a sign to his lover (a.k.a. that dirty hoe) that he had finally done what she had wanted and killed her. I hated that scene too and found it sickening. I agree with the second poster on how tragic love is although it is refreshing to see it in a different light.
shareWhen Luisa turns the money down and leaves, she tells Paco "kill her!" It didn't surprise me at all that he abandoned Trini and didn't ask for help; he had "helped" her kill herself, and he knew he was going to be wanted by the Guardia Civil (Spanish police).
I was amazed at how beautiful Maribel Verdú (Trini) looked in this movie at age 21. She looks quite different in "Y tu mamá también."
wow. I as fairly young when I saw that movie but I SOOOOO identified w/ "that dirty hoe". It was refreshing to see a story where the "Mrs. Robinson" type isn't punished for being w/ a younger man. Let the sweet young pretty thing bite the dust for once.

Are you serious? Didn't you see the type, at the end? They were arrested three days later. She pretty much stayed locked up for life. He eventually got released but, got locked up as well. They never saw each other again, just three days after he killed Trini.
