I watched this movie on Netflixe Instant Play, and they didnt have subtitles during the scene where the Chinaman speaks with his father. I was wondering if thats how it really is or did if I missed an entire scene. If so, what was said during that convo?

I think it was supposed to be like that. Later when they're on the beach, he's telling the girl his conversation with his father.
