I am looking to buy the DVD so i can make my husband watch it.. I told him this was my favorite movie and he never heard of it so now i need to get it!
I cant figure out which one is the uncut version.. there is so many different DVD covers out there I dont want to get the wrong one. Can someone help?

I have the unrated version here in Thailand. The cover has the two lovers next to each other, him looking at her, her looking away, both clothed, her in the iconic hat. I bought it in a chain DVD store called Lion Records; no idea if they sell online.

NetFlix rents the uncut, uncensored version. I'm watching it as I type this...

I thought it would just be a typical love story. Boy, was I wrong!
But don't get me wrong, nonetheless, it's a beautiful movie!
As far as I know the DVD released by MGM in 2001 includes the uncut, uncensored version.
Even the run time matches: 115 min.

I just bought the 2001 MGM unrated version "with 10 minutes of extra footage" and noticed the seduction scene is the car has been edited.
On mine, the two characters meet, get into the car, chat until they run out of things to say, the Chinaman slooowly reaches over and touches her hand and . . . . they arrive at the dormitory.
They kept the nude scenes but cut the part where he touches her knee . . .
So while it IS unrated, it's definitely not UNCUT.

i just grabbed an HD release of the film that advertises itself as unrated bluray. The runtime is 115min.
