it seems to be impossible to find.

I've had this one and the sequel for years and at one time they were available in the bargain bin at Wal-Mart...have you tried Amazon?

I orderd both from amazon a few years ago its 1 disk with both movies on it but no special features just trailers

there it is on amazon

Fighting on the internet is like trying to lick ur elbow. You can try it but it looks stupid.

reply

I too have found it impossible to find on DVD. I'm holding out hope for a blu-ray release of both movies.

reply

You guys have heard of this thing called Google right? I just found 63 online stores selling it for $4 with a 2 second search....

Wow...

reply

DVDs are region specific. They're not available to everyone.

reply

"DVDs are region specific. They're not available to everyone."

They are available if they're region free. ;)

reply

Or - if your DVD player is region free ;)
And in case it's not - you just look the usual places on the Net and find out how to solve this problem just by using the remote.

A) Try eBay - 202 results for "Addams Family" in DVD. Even if 75% of them are for the original series (I didn't count them to find out exactly how many), that still leaves a whole lot for the Raul Julia movies.

B) Why would you be holding out hope for Blu-Ray releases of movies that weren't filmed in HD? That's kind of like taping Gilligan's Island off the airwaves on a VHS tape, and then converting that into a DVD. The picture quality is still just as poor, you can just see with much greater clarity how bad the picture is. No, I'm not knocking the movies - I quite love them - but when you can buy the DVD with both movies for just a couple dollars, why waste money on a Blu-Ray when the picture won't be any clearer?

My brain just imploded with the sheer stupidity of what I have just read.

Addams Family has only been released on region 1 DVD, and not internationally on other region encoded DVD's.

However, the sequal "Addams Family Values" has also been released internationally. I really hope they will release a special edition of The Addams Family someday, with all the deleted scenes and music videos etc.

I've had the region 2 of Addams Family Values for about two years but I can't find the Addams Family Region 2 anywhere! Its very frustrating! Surely if they put the sequel on region 2 they should do the first one as well! Its so annoying! I'll just have to stick to watching it online!

reply

I see the double feature quite a bit at best buy. Hell of alot cheaper.

reply

No idea what region but it's the USA.

And I bought a double set w/ Addam's Family and Addam's Family Values for $10

Oh please, do some research. ALL movies are filmed in what you term as HD, always have been. It's only when they print them out on lower quality formats that it looses it resolution. Film is high defination. Yes even The Wizard of Oz which was filmed in the 30's.

There's a long story about these films and their copyright is a little different outside of the US.

When Orion was going bankrupt during the production of the first film, Paramount paid to finish the film and distribute the film domestically while Orion retained international distribution rights.

Because of Orion then going broke, the first film took forever to get a DVD release anywhere in the world outside of the US.

The second film was a sole Paramount Production.

But because of the split of the first film, there will never be a special edition with extras or a blu-ray release. And Paramount just sold the second film to Warner Bros who've no plans to release it on blu-ray.

Amazon.com bro

They should have it

reply

I have had the double-feature DVD for many years, released by Paramount in 2006.
To my knowledge, then the first movie should also be out on Blu-ray.

reply

They have the single feature and double feature as well.

I have the double as both are good films

reply

Because your Google skills are shit.
