Sadly anyone who buys this from America, it won't play in an American dvd or blue ray player. I really wanted to see this series, damn it.

There is a region 1 (North American) DVD release..

I have no idea what the quality is like.
Maybe it's a Region 1/NTSC DVD-R transfer of the UK PAL set.
But I am seriously considering buying it.
Mainly because it's the only North American DVD release I have ever seen offered for this series.

Well.. I ended up buying the set.
Not cheap either.. when shipping was tacked on it came to $46.
I hope it's worth it. :Z
I'll let you know about the quality etc. when I get it.

Will it have the entire seasons or only one?

I got the DVD set today in the mail.
It is the complete season 1 on 4 dvd's.
However it is - as I feared it might be - DVD-R transfers of a TV broadcast.
It was recorded off The Showcase Action channel.
There is a small "action" channel watermark in the lower right corner of the frame at all times.

That being said, the video and audio quality are quite good.
The DVDs have professional looking labels and come in a DVD case meant to hold 4 DVDs.
The DVDs have menus to select each episode.
There are no chapters.
The cover artwork on the case is fairly professional looking as well.
So I'm not completely disappointed.. I wanted Season 1 on DVD .. I got season 1 on DVD.
I think the cost was too much for DVD-R TVRips but there you go.. it's done.

I guess if you want the first season on region 1 DVDs this is the only option.

Hopefully, having this info will help others make up there mind whether or not they want the first season badly enough to pay the price for dvd-r transfers of TVRips.
