Please Release Complete Series Edition DVD

The version currently available on DVD & VHS has strung all 6 episodes together with lots of snips and trims. Not to mention that awful ending. I'd like to see a new 2 Disc collection come out with the show presented in it's original 6 episode format. Presented in their entirety the way they originally aired on network television including the "to be continued" ending. The awful video ending could be thrown on as a bonus feature along with any other bonus material that could be dug up out of the archives. Please make his happen!

I have the laserdisc copied to DVD-R and it's all 6 episodes with the full start and end credits. Uncut the way it was shown on TV. But I still has the new home video ending.

Oh great. So now since I missed this originally on tv I will get a different ending? Why do they do this sh*t?

His wife died and he became a younger man, about 35 or so. He was caught and escaped and there was a cliffhanger ending. The show was never picked up for another season. I've never read any articles about what direction the show was supposed to take.

My question is, weren't there more than 6 episodes? I thought there were 8 or 9, but I was pretty young when it came out and it was a long time ago. If there were only 6 episodes, why is the dvd movie version of it so heavily edited? 240 minutes plus the amended ending? Why were 8 or 9 minutes of footage removed from the dvd and vhs when they could have fused together the entire thing? And why isn't the original tv ending included on the dvd release as a bonus feature?

Damn, I had recorded this on VHS when it originally aired but I threw out a bunch of tapes when DVD started getting popular :( Wish I had known they changed the ending for the DVD release.
