Seasons 6-8 ANYONE ANYWHERE?!?!

I'm also a fan of the New Silk line-up featuring Janet and Chris and seems there's no place in the universe I can get hold of these episodes they were in. No streaming opportunities, no downloading opportunities, not to mention the poor decision from the distributor not to release the later years on dvd.

So please, can anyone give me some kind of hope as of having a chance to watch these episodes again or getting a copy somewhere. Are there any other New Silk fans who are wondering the same things and frustrated by this situation?

reply

YES! But I have heard from another Chris fan they are planning to release these seasons but no detail of when!

I never watched Silk Stalkings until Chris Potter joined the cast. He's one of my fave actors.

I am so with you, JudeDeveraux! I like Rob and Mitzi as well, but I never knew the show existed till Chris and Janet came along. Yum! Their chemistry was superb, and you could see the relationship between the two characters--to the point that I never understood how in the world they divorced--or why they didn't get back together!

reply

I loved their chemistry too.

If you saw the finale...the very last episode...Janet/Cassie basically told Chris/Tom she never really loved him.

I think they were so much opposite personalities too that it didn't work for them.

Seasons 6 7 and 8 are listed at Amazon.Com you can sign up to be notified when there released.

reply

All that means if it ever gets released they will contact you. Not that it will definitely be released. Anyone hear any news about Chris Potters other show Kung Fu the Legend Continues?

reply

You can buy season 6 from Amazon, however there is a but. You have to buy it from their on demand store. That means that you can only watch it on your computer and you can't put it on DVD's. I did that for season 5, because it's cheaper.

try www.iOffer.com. They have several TV shows and movies that never made it to DVD available on DVD-R.

If you don't find it, post a want ad.

All eight seasons of Silk Stalkings are on Hulu Plus, meaning you can watch them on your mobile devices too if you ever get bored.

I LOVED Janet Gunn . Still love her . Wish she was on a series of her own. I first saw her on Dark Justice, the late night crime drama on CBS on Friday nights that was the companion to Silk Stalkings. I remember being 16 years old and totally head over heels for Janet. She was the glue that held Dark Justice together all the way until Letterman's arrival at CBS.

God I remember watching this show during my last three years of high school, which were the first three years of the series. It was can't miss TV. I would stop everything at 8 p.m. on Sunday nights to watch. I remember one episode I missed because of the Super Bowl being on at the same time. I taped it on the 11 p.m. west coast replay.

Lance and Lorenzo were Benson and Stabler long before Benson and Stabler. They were so fabulous together. I wonder what they could have done with a budget like the Law and Order franchise has. All three commanding officers were outstanding. I wonder what Ben Vereen could have done with Hutch if he had not been injured in 1992.

I can understand Mitzi wanting to take time off for a baby, but it would have been nice had she left just for a few episodes the same way Mariska did on SVU when her son was born and then come back. Rob made a mistake by leaving. It took him well over a decade before he recovered when he got the role on the 90210 reboot.
