Did Anyone Else Like the Adult Stories Better?

I was probably around 9-11 when I watched this cartoon, but I remember finding the parents' segments a lot more entertaining than the baby stories. I especially loved Stu & his ideas and Charlotte's career life/calls with Jonathan.

Some of the segments that cracked me up was where Stu sleepwalks (they think he's a robot), Stu braving the pool, the adults playing charades, the Halloween party, Chaz talking to a hand puppet, the grey gardens ladies, and the Dummi Bear movie & the Reptar on Ice spoofs. Some of the best episodes Tommy didn't even talk that much, he just wandered around while the adults around him were having dramas.

Yeah, in the original incarnation of the series (with Paul Germain running the show) the babies were often merely supporting characters to the stories, or the story would center around the adults and then the babies would somehow influence the outcome of the story.

Some others you didn't mention:

Grandpa's Date, when Morgana comes to visit and Grandpa Lou tries to hide the fact he's a grandfather.
Game Show Didi, when Didi competes on a Jeopardyesque game show against a pompous champion.
King Ten Pin, where Grandpa Lou competes in a bowling tournament against an old rival.
Pickles vs. Pickles, where Drew dreams Angelica sues him for making her eat vegetables.
Case of the Missing Rugrat, where Grandpa Lou searches for Tommy as a P.I. in an homage to David Doyle's time on Charlie's Angels.

As far as individual scenes, I love the one where Stu is showing everyone home videos and they're all groaning in agony, with Chaz going, "I wanna go home" and Grandpa Boris picking up the phone and pretending to call Dr. Kevorkian.

Another of my favorites is the ending to "Garage Sale," with Stu listing all the things accidentally sold as the rest of the adults sit in the empty house singing "kumbaya, my friend."

lol I love the end of that one where Didi says they were just material things and having each other is the most important thing of all, only to get a reply from a very ticked off Stu . . . "put a sock in it, Deed."

I liked the stories centered around Angelica and the adults.
