Check your pms.

Why I even waste time on a D-list soapboxer like you is beyond reason.

Yeah,so true, so true. Basically, as soon as these networks (FOX and UPN) got on their feet, they decided to go for a white audience, merged, became the CW,and basically kicked some of the black shows to the curb. There were still some really good black shows like ALL OF US, THE BERNIE MAC SHOW, ONE ON ONE, EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS,CUTS (s spin-off of ONE ON ONE) GIRLFRIENDS, and THE GAME which was canceled, then picked up and continued to run on BET and is currently in its final season---I don't like how the show completely changed when it was done over by BET,though.)

I agree 100% and bet sold out a long time ago. I'd rather they show classic black sitcoms instead of Ratchet reality shows , trying to be like MTV .

I'm Blade brown, the Dopest, illest, hypest brotha, on the block!

Well every sitcom with a black cast doesn't have to sit and talk about black issues and being black.

That's why the Cosby show worked. The blackness was shown in the subtext rather than the dialogue.

It was shown in the subtext, the art, the culture, music and story lines.

I get that. But most fall some where between the Evans and Huxtables.

How it's presented just look at Girlfriends and the Fresh Prince they could be funny and serious without being preachy. To deal with serious issues like all in the family a show has to be well written, most sitcoms since late 70s are poorly written.

I've heard it put this way, comedy appeals to the intellect and drama appeals to the emotions. To understand a joke one has to understand what is being commented on.
