Another great aninated series...need help with name

There was another great TV-series of my youth... it aired around the time of this show. Maybe a few years earlier. I can't remember the name. It was about a young viking. I think he was a prince of sorts and he and his clan(or wahtever) were chased from their home and he had a queast to restore his family's name. It was such a long time ago. I can't remember the details. But I remember it was really good. Can anybody help me with the name?

Was it the Prince Valiant animated series?
