I was wandering why they have action figure toys of every main character but Tula!? How come they never made her a toy? Or is it guys loved her so much that they bought all the toys of her and it's SUPER rare to find a toy of her? Someone please help. Thanks.
And yes, Tula is indeed conspicuously absent. The only 8 action figures that exist are Ren, Ioz, Niddler, Bloth, Konk, Zoolie, Mantus, and Joat--either major characters, or minor-but-(intended-to-be-)recurring characters. I heard a rumor that there was slated to be a second series of action figures, in which Tula would have been included, if the show had continued. In fact, there are images available online of prototypes of never-produced PoDW figures, which lends some truth to the news of a second line of toys.
Who is Joat, the big nosed toy. I had that one, and I've been watching episodes of this show recently and haven't seen him in any episode yet(on #17 now I think).
My guess is that statistically female action figures don't sell as well. Even in toy lines that include them they're usually only 1 or 2 figures per case. This is the main reason that female figures are the more rare and valuable figures in many toy lines.
^^^ This. In the 90s, it took a while for kids to warm up to the idea of action figures based on female characters. I remember it was a big deal when Toy Biz released the Rouge action figure for the X-Men figure line. I think the only other female action figure released for that specific line was Storm(in the first set). Eventually they warmed up, though. Now you have a lot more action figures of female characters being released more than ever before.
I remember Irma from TMNT getting an action figure, but Tula didn't. That really ticked me off as a kid. I was a fan of the show, I wanted the complete set. It was also just so blatantly sexist.
Indeed, TMNT made every character there was. But Tula who was a very important character didn't get a figure. But they made Zoolie who was only a recurring character and Joat who only had one major appearance? It doesn't make sense.
