Favourite 'Crown' landlord - Les or Ken?

Its a tough decision since the landlord is a minor part, but i preferred Ken.. His character utilised humour without being irritating, which i found Les to be at times.. thats just IMO though. What does everyone else think?

reply

Well, John Thompson from the Fast Show played Ken, and I've always been a fan of his Work, so I'd say Ken. Les did have his moments though.

reply

Les by far, I think he is hilarius. Personally I find Ken's charcter to be rather dull and uninteresting.

reply

yeah I prefered Ken too. Although Les was funny at times.

Les was fantastic. The scene with him telling them how he bellowed after "Maureen" was genius. Agree with the earlier post - Ken was a bit dull. And Les' quiz night was brilliant "in which film did Britt Ekland first get her kit off"

Cambridge man you know. His uncle Bertie and I used to break wind for our college.

Oh definately Ken. He was brilliant. I love John Thompson.

Les.

Believe or die! "Thank you, forgiving Lord, for all those options..."

Ken, definitely. Although Les has his funny moments, John Thomson makes me laugh more as Ken.

[from Jingle B***s!]
GARY: King Ken?
KEN: Yes, one of the three Kings. Bringing Gold, Frankincense and Mrrrh for the Baby Jesus.
DOROTHY: What did you bring?
KEN: Mrrrh!

[from Cowardice]
KEN: Look if you're gonna fight, can you......erm......
TONY: Do it outside.
KEN: ......do it outside!

TONY: So Ken, have you always wanted to be a barman?
KEN: Yes, yes I have.....no, no I haven't actually. I thought you were going to say be a door-mobile.

And this one, which does involve Ken...

[from Cardigan]
DOROTHY: Tony, who gave you these directions?
TONY: Ken.
DOROTHY: RIGHT! That's it. We're going home!

Marilyn Monroe: I don't want to be rich. I just want to be wonderful.

That's a coin-flipper, all right. But I think I have to give Les the edge. Especially if you like cringe-worthy, just barely this side of digusting type humour.

reply

Didn't particularly like either, but I'd have to pick Les. Ken was so cringeworthy.

Both had their funny moments, neither would in reality get a license to run a pub :)

Les was ok but Ken was better.

reply

i prefered Les. But as stated before they are two very different characters
