dermot or tony?
which du u prefer harry enfields dermot or neil morriseys tony?
sharedefinitely harry enfield as dermot.
shareMuch much better is Tony, Dervet is 0!!!!!!!!!
shareDermot was more funny because he was more sarcastic but Tony just plays the constant fool.
shareTony is definitely more funny, his facial expressions and his idiotic questions are hillarious, although I also like Gary, I think his facial expressions are funnier than tonys. I like tony better than dermot 100%.
shareThey both had the strengths but I think Tony & Gary contrasted and complemented each other much better than Gary and Dermot did.
I don't think the series would have taken off and grew as popular as it did had Harry Enfield, as much as I like him, stayed in the role of Dermot.
tony cos he support palace, and enfield is a smug git
shareTony by a mile. I honestly believe the show wouldn't have been such a success if Harry Enfield had stayed.
shareI dont think I smiled or laught one time at Dermot in the first series, Maybe I did one time or so but I just cant remember that. Tony saved the serie when he replaced Dermot. Tony together with Gary made this serie "briliant". It is British comedy at its best. It is even better the Couplings and The Red Dwarf, And they are also very good comedys.
I bought series 2-6 + Last Orders + The Christmas special on DVD, As you can see did I avoid the first series with Dermot. I was lucky to find a seller on Ebay that also thought Dermot sucked and therefore hade a perfect box of Men Behaving Badly for me.
I will now put in the fifth series and watch "The good pub guide" and laugh till I fall a sleep :)
harry enfield is a good comedian but his heart wasn't in it. he was almost forced to do the show because he was the only reason it was made and actually broadcast. the network wouldn't commission the first series without him. deep down he's the reason we had MBB at all. tony is a fantastic character and neil morrisey is an amazing actor but the reason the show got good, esp after the 2nd season was because the show moved from itv (which has commercials) to the bbc (no commercials) therefore extra time to develope some kind of decent plot, the bbc are more liberal because there are no advertisers and are less likely to get yelled at for 'going' certain 'places' lol. most importantly they were given a later time slot and therefore allowed to do, show and say things they weren't allowed to at their earlier pre-watershed time.
but tony is damn good!!!
i esp like the xmas special.
you know they were all written by the same guy... genius!!

you cant compare! cos dermot(harry) was one series only! and tony was 7 series! am i right in thinking that men behaving badly started on ITV for the first series? then moved to bbc after the first series? that dont happen much nowadays does it?
sharetony of course!!
shareLet me put it this way. On a scale of marks out of ten, I would give Dermot - 1, and Tony - 10. Enough said.
sharei wish these wankers would stop slaggin off dermott.
yes tony is better, but dermott had his moments as well and was funny.
"give her a good CHESSING"
Tony!!!! much more natural, much more funny!
