Where did they get the gas to drive every where??

I know, it's irrelevant and a funny question, but even as a kid watching this show I asked myself, "How did they never run out of gas??" So, I'm sure other viewers that were smart like me asked the same question. I guess the writers overlooked that tiny plot hole in the story, lol.

And the batteries never died either....

Well, the battery thing could be explained by Shung's crystals. For some reason I remember an episode when Dad Porter had to steal crystals from Shung to power various things, like a flashlight and Kevin's radio. So, maybe he found a way to incorporate that into the vehicle. ...Lol, I dunno wild theory...

I think they found crude oil in some oil pit if I remember correctly. I was real young and all I remember were certain flashes from the show. I remember a scene where they were trying to get the car to start and finally it did after a couple of turn-overs.

But that doesn't make sense because crude oil wouldn't work in a car's engine.

There was an episode where they found weird trees which produced a sap they could use as gasoline. At the end, the dad joked to Kevin that now he could learn to drive.

reply

yeah i remember a episode where they used the tree sap for gas but this show was so cheesy and really stupid, like i said the original was better darthballz1701!

I think they put some glowing green crytsal into it. And then some lizard men were after them cause they wanted the crystal.

Live Together, Cry Alone.

In the first episode, Kevin tried to convince his dad to let him drive so they wouldn't have to walk so much to get work done, the dad replied when the time came to leave, they didn't want to be out of gas.
