David Chase
I'm surprised that this hasn't been released on DVD yet-- it was low-rated but much-loved, and David Chase was showrunner on this before creating The Sopranos. I would think that alone would merit some attention. Those shows are very different, obviously, but I think it's easy to spot his hand in the way the show doesn't shy away from difficult subject matter and complex characters that don't are relatable without always being sympathetic. I liked the IFA didn't go in for easy answers to complicated problems but instead respected the intelligence of the viewer....
