Just like American Dreams...

I've never actually seen this show, but if I get the chance I definitely will.

The way everyone is describing it, it sounds a lot like American Dreams. The post-war dealings of families in a dramatic setting, that a LOT of people seemed to like. Then, just like American Dreams, it was crushed by it's foolish network, leaving behind tons of angry fans wondering why the hell they got rid of it. Now, we're all waiting for the shows to be released to DVD, wanting to see our show that we enjoyed and holds many good memories for us. Just hope, fans of "Homefront", that they don't leave you hanging like NBC / Universal did with us fans of "American Dreams" and only put out one season. Then they say they might not release the other two seasons and this is after the director announced he had filmed an extended series finale to be put on the DVD that wrapped up the series instead of it being an eternal cliffhanger.

Hell yeah I'm bitter! I loved American Dreams, I never get into shows (Network shows atleast) that much, and spent NINETY FRIGGIN' DOLLARS for the first season when it first came out. Now they sell it for $20... Bastids! :)

There just seemed to me to be way too many similarities to not make a thread and see what you folks thought as far as similarities go, where to get "Homefront", if I'm right in thinking it was a show like "American Dreams", and if you are having as hard a time getting the studios and networks to release "Homefront" to DVD as we are with "American Dreams"?

Yes it was a lot like American Dreams which I loved too. Both gone long before they should've and both high quality shows.
