Has the actor quit because he's not been seen for ages I mean surely its not down to other commitments he's not exactly flooded with offers.

This reply is probably a little late to do you much good, but I've noticed that "Lord Ashfordly" turned up in a running role as Foyle's boss in Foyle's War around about 2008.
