Should be on DVD

I don't know who would make this decision, perhaps Criterion, but from what I've read many would love to see the whole miniseries on DVD. Does anyone know of any progress in this direction? Maybe a 20th-Anniversary edition could come out in 2011.

Here's another vote for a release of the whole TV series.

Nice to see there's another fan.

Yes, there don't seem to be many of us, here, anyway.

I had no idea that this had been a series. I'd love to see the whole thing so much, though I doubt it will happen anytime soon. Even the trailer makes me weep.

I know what you mean. The Petrus episode is one of the most harrowing I've ever seen, and anguishes me every time, no matter that I know how it ends. I identify with Anna's fear -- and with the bitterness of her learning her own limits.

The magnificent full series was released on DVD in Sweden in 2008, but then that doesn't include English subtitles.

Thanks for your reply. I would learn Swedish to possess the whole series! tm

It does include Swedish subs though, but to translate those to English would of course take quite some time (and you really can't use Google translate for things like this). I just found out that it's also released in Spain, with Spanish subs.
