Fantaghiro 1 - 4 on dvd, english audio/dutch subtitles

On an auction site someone is offering the Fantaghiro series for 170 european euro's. Don't buy from this person! He's asking more than three times the price I ask for the series and they are exactly the same! There are NO official English dvd's. I happen to have the English version as it was shown on tv years ago.
The dvd's are PAL, English audio with Dutch subtitles.
Don't pay this ridiculous amount of money for a series you can get three times cheaper! The only difference is that he sends the dvd's in a custom made cover and I don't.

Up till now, there are no legitimate English spoken and Dutch subtitled DVD's of the Fantaghiro series. People who claim to have them must have recorded the RTL4 broadcast from 12-13 years ago (just like I did). So be aware when people sell them...

What if... someone really would love to see the Fantaghiro series again?

Hmm... old broadcasts of 12-13 years ago but good quality

versus

Waiting how many more years for official English releases

versus

watching the series in Italian, German, or Spanish

Gee... tough choice

You seem to forget there are many people who really want to relive their favorite fairytale again and those old RTL4 broadcasts are at the moment probably the only way to gratify their wish.

You might be right dutchgirl141, but as you pointed out yourself, some people are asking lots of money for films probably transferred from VHS to DVD, so I thought it would be OK to give a warning to the curious...

That's true... mine are also transferred from tape to DVD and some might call my price high as well... but I'm not asking a ludicrous amount of money and by setting the price lower... I'd be making copies all day and my machine wouldn't be able to handle that plus I have more things to do. Some ask information and never contact me again... that's fine. I'm just really gratefull I have them so I can show my little girls the magic of the series.
The daughters of a friend of mine enjoyed them immensely and I'm thrilled to see that the magic goes on. But sometimes, someone contacts me who has been searching for the series for a long time and is really happy to to buy them.
That feels good too.

I immensly enjoyed all the Fantaghiro episodes when they were originally on RTL4 (about 10 years ago?)
I have been searching high and low for copies with either English or Dutch subtitles since. Providing they're decent quality, I would be prepared to settle for VHS transferred to DVD. But I bought a classic movie on DVD last year and it had been transferred also and the quality was simply horrendous, there was almost no sound either, just 'buzzing'. Since then I'm a bit anxious when something has been transferred to from VHS DVD by someone.

Do you offer a money back guarantee? And how much are looking for for all 10 episodes?

The quality of sound is good, picture decent, providing you are not watching it on a computer. There's a bit of blurred screentime in the first movie, but not for long, it clears up soon.

I only have 8 episodes, I don't have the last movie
