i happened to catch a re-run of buds on telly late last night (i hadnt caught it since its original run back in the early '90s) and it all came rushing back to me...funny how i could remember everything that happened in the episode even though i had only watched it once 20 years ago!

what came rushing back to me the most though was how absolutely gorgeous CZJ was back then. as a young lad just entering puberty, she knocked my socks off. and now as i watched it, that same feeling came back. as a young 22 year old, she was an absolute knockout, just breathtaking in this. certainly her star quality was pretty plain to see.

Yep I agree and your post is worthy of a reply. I was frankly surprised she fell for Charlie but he did lose some of his awkwardness as the series continued and was a good husband.

Like you some elements of the DVDs I just bought were familiar to me in spite of the time that has elapsed since this series was first aired. It is just so effortless to watch. Another series I invested in was Goodnight Sweetheart (ironically with David Jason's sidekick from Only Fools - Nicholas Lyndhurst!). That was another endearing and good series. I have all of that series too!

Agree. Her beauty in this series nearly had shock value it was so close to perfection.
