This is a great series but there was a lot of awful acting going on.

I thought Charlie was okay, but the twins were not very good, though the younger children don't really have to do a lot of acting. i did think it rather a pity they had a different actress plqying primrose in the second and third seasons, perhaps the first one wasn't available, or wasn't a good enough actress, but I thought she looked exactly right for primrose, while i didn't think the second one was quite pretty enough (primrose is supposed to be even lovelier than Mariette as she grows up).
