Who is Negaduck?

I only recently discovered the seris, and absolutly LOVE it! However, I keep hearing mention of Negaduck, and how he was the best villian of all. I haven't seen him yet. Can someone correct my ignorance?

Darkwing's evil double. You see him in the opening credits. He's dressed like Darkwing but he's in yellow. You could search for episodes on Youtube. They did have one with him though I'm not sure if they still do. It's the Justice Ducks one.

The series never reveals where Negaduck came from, but in the episode "Life, the Negaverse, and Everything" an alternate reality known as the Negaverse --where everyone is the opposite (Gosalyn is sweet and girly, Launchpad is a gun-wielding nut, etc) might be where he came from. He looks exactly like Darkwing except his outfit is red, black, and yellow. He is voiced by the same actor who does Darkwing (Jim Cummings) but a few octaves lower. He is always trying to kill Darkwing and has almost succeeded on a few occasions.

Negaduck is probably one of Disney's most psychotic villains ever created. He's a sociopath, threatens everyone with artillery and his trademark chainsaw, and is generally feared by most of the other villains. He and Taurus Bulba are probably the "top" villains of the show. He is also the leader of the Fearsome Five which consists of Bushroot, Liquidator, Quackerjack, and Megavolt.

There's a couple Youtube videos that depict him well, check 'em out:

There was also a Negaduck (I) from the episode "Negaduck" when Megavolt's tronsplitter seperates Darkwing into two parts (good and evil) but he is not the same as Negaduck (II) who is seen in the rest of the episodes.

What is his character like?

"Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles."

reply

All I can tell you is that he's really really bad =(

reply

He pretty much borders on the level of crazed homocidal maniac. Looking back, it's hard to believe Disney actually allowed his character to exist. He is practically the embodiment of pure, unrestricted cartoon violence (the kind that very rarely passes through the networks anymore).

His personality is similar to Carnage from Spider-Man, actually... (if you know who that is, heh).

I know this may seem like a weird question, but what color are NegaDuck's buttons?

"Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles."

reply

Black.

Thanks!

Negaduck is heartless and cruel, and he hates cute and cuddly (if you remember "Malice's Restaurant). Negaduck especially hates the Cute Little Lost Bunnies!

Keen gear!

It's rumored that there were plans to make an episode that galvanized the 2 NegaDucks, but the show ended production before they got the chance.

reply

Yeah, I wish Disney and ABC didn't cancel that contract that contained Darkwing along with the other characters.

Negaduck is a vicious, cruel, homicidal, cold-hearted, fiendish villain. He is DW's evil double, and he shows NO MERCY! He has framed Darkwing Duck for his crimes in "Disguise the Limit,"

reply

Usually by fighting fire with fire... in "Quiverwing Quack" he stuffs Negaduck's motorocycle with bombs (which Negs used on him earlier) and blows him sky high.

In "Let's Get Respectable" he locks Negs in a jail cell with a bunch of angry crooks who beat the crap out of him since Negs locked them in there previously.

In "Bad Luck Duck" Negs catches a missile and it explodes in his hands.

In "Malice's Restaurant" Darkwing uses a wrench to take apart the giant robot Negs is in, and he crashes to the floor with it.

In "Jail Bird" he teams up with the Fearsome Four.

...yeah, there's a bunch more but you get the idea.
