I have to admit, I was only 7 years old when Betty Osborne was murdered, but I remember when Johnson and Houghton were charged. When I watched the movie the first time, I wanted to better understand the who she was, and who these young men were! I found the following; 'Report Of The Aboriginal Justice Inquiry Of Manitoba' published in 1999. It is quite straight forward, and gives insight into where the movie differs from what the reality. It is quite lengthy, but well worth the read.
