www.pbs.org they sell the DVD

netflix and blockbuster rent it also.

the dvd in America is sort of expensive - it is a 2 disc set which makes it a little higher in price - plus I don't think a lot of them sold and they charge a higher price for it. Check out trying to buy it used on Ebay or Amazon.

Well, I confess - after 14 years of watching my crappy, homemade VHS tape I made on my VCR in 1991 when I first saw Clarissa on PBS in 1991, I broke down and bought the DVD. It has a lot of cool "Special Features" like the original screen tests that Sean Bean and Saskia Wickham made. I liked the screen test scene even better than the actual scene in the film.

Dang! Sean Bean was at the height of his youth when he filmed "Clarissa" he was probably around 32 years old, and so wicked sexy - in the screen test he has long blonde hair and is wearing a gold ear ring in one ear - Geez-O-Pete! That guy is Mr. Sex on Legs, His Holy Hotness, Lord Sexitude. Sean Bean just won for the second year in a row - the Hello Magazine "Most Attractive Man" contest. Even if he is pushing 50, lots of wrinkles - even his "crinkly bits" are wicked sexy.

The region 1 DVD set is from Acorn video, which is why it's so expensive. Their dvd sets are always expensive.

I got my copy used from eBay. I set up a saved search with daily email notifications. It took a couple of months, but I finally came across one that had a fairly inexpensive opening bid (around $10, iirc). The packaging was damaged, so perhaps that is why no one else bid on it.
