I recently watched brides of christ on dvd and was very impressed. However it puzzled me who the father of Rosemary's baby was. It doesn't say if she was pregnant not long after she left the school, or if it was so many years later.
Does anybody know?
I gor the impression that the father was Dominic (Russell Crowe). Don't know why, just got that idea!
shareThe pregnancy wasn't that long after she left the school. After all, she has the baby before the "Class of '68" graduation. In fact, the pregnancy occurred even before that, because it was when Veronica (Sister Paul) was on her leave from the order, which occurred quite soon after Rosemary's expulsion.

If you recall, Rosemary was expelled from the school.
Went to the hospital for unwed mothers.
Then had the baby and was visited by Frances who was also un-uniformed as she was also expelled.
Then at the end of the series is a scene in the milk bar across from the school where Rosemary calls Bridget from the school graduation (where she is about to ender the convent as a novice nun) and makes her see that she is doing a really stupid thing.
So, the baby is indeed Dominik's in my oppinion.
Yeah, my religion class at school watched every episode and everyone was curious who the father was... one girl came out and said "I wouldn't be suprised if it was each of the three." The whole year level is obessed with Brides of Christ... we're always talking about it.

If we assume that Rosemary gets expelled in 1967 (because Ep 3 is set in 1966)
and Mick is about a year old in (December) 1968 when Frances and Brigid see her after Brigid skips out on the graduation ceremony, Mick would've been born in late 1967/early 1968. Dominic and Rosemary slept together before she was expelled, so the baby *could* be Dominic's...
i recall that she saying something along the lines of she doesnt actually know who the father is but she hopes and considers Dominic as the father.
