It's baaaaaack!!!

When the Hub Network was revamped into Discovery Family, all of its live-action TV shows were removed. Over the past week, one of those shows has finally returned! Blossom is showing reruns again on Discovery Family! Could this mean some of the others are coming back - ALF, Happy Days, Lois and Clark, Hercules, Goosebumps...? How about it?

I just noticed this last night too that Blossom was back on! what a nice surprise to see it finally return out of the blue since 2014! i was so excited to see it back! i've SO missed seeing this show on tv. it was so much fun seeing it on tv again for the first time since the 90's when it returned in 2014 on the HUB & so disapointing when the HUB changed and Blossom was taken back off the air after only a few months of just getting it back. so its really great to see the new network finally bringing it back on! Blossom was even back on in the original time slot that it was when the HUB network aired it.

when did Blossom come back on? last night the 2 episodes were School Daze and Love stinks, weird they started airing the show in the middle and end of season one. did they start airing the show a few weeks ago with the beginning of the season 1 episodes or something?

also, i dont see Blossom back on for the next few days tho. i hope they are going to continue airing it more now?! is it only on Sunday nights or something?

reply

I think it started a week ago or something, not sure. And I'm not sure about their schedule either, but it wasn't on for the middle of the week before either. Maybe they're still working on that. It's very great being able to watch it though, I'd never even heard of it til the Hub picked it up the first time!

agentpfan - thanks for the reply & the info!

also, i can finally see when Blossom airs again, looks like they are only airing it on the weekends. Sat afternoon & then again Sat night. Then Sun afternoon & Sun night. wish they would air it everyday like the Hub did.

& looks like they are just skipping around, not airing any episodes in order. on Sun they aired School daze and Love stinks from season 1. this Sat they start off with the 6th episode of season 2! kind of sucks they aren't airing them in order. still happy to see it back on tv tho.

reply

Wow, that is strange! I wonder if they're just doing "top rated episodes" instead of going in order?

exactly, long live '80s horror. nothing can top or equal '80s horror because '70s horror is too slow and dragging and '90s horror is not that good or interesting or ground breaking, it's not anywhere near as good or as great of quality as '80s horror.

oh I wish I could watch step by step every night or day or midday or morning. it's one of the best shows ever made and Christine lakin is one of the hottest women ever on it. unbelievable how big her boobs were at such a young age. just the 10 of us is better than step by step though. and weird science and clarissa explains it all are also.

awesome, it looks like they are now finally airing Blossom every weekday too, not just on the weekends! at least this week, they are airing Blossom at midnight every day! so cool to see it on more since waiting for the weekend takes forever. just sucks they are only airing one episode of Blossom during the weekday tho, instead of two like they do on the weekends.

I know I was happy to see it. If only they can get Step By Step on that channel again and get some more TV series.

reply

I'm excited it's back. I've been recording them on the dvr. I'm waiting for the episode when they go to Disney and Joey has his dream doing a music video.

you know with all the hundreds of channels available on Comcast cable and with all the money that Comcast gets from people there is no excuse for every show that we loved and grew up with not being on cable tv right now. we shouldn't have to rent or buy any show on dvd.

you know I was just thinking about the HUB channel today because I was looking for batman: the animated series today but unfortunately the HUB channel is gone now and I was never able to find this great show. so, is it on now on any channel? ALF was on the Antenna channel about a year ago. happy days is on either KVOS or INSP channel right now. what about are you afraid of the dark? is that on tv now?

I've seen AYAOTD a few times on TNick, since they have their late-night "Splat" block, but it seems pretty inconsistent. And I agree, the crazy thing is how some classic shows are rerun on MULTIPLE channels. Examples: Reba is on both Freeform and CMT, Friends is on both Nick and TBS (and maybe a third channel, knowing them), and how many channels are showing Family Guy and American Dad now? In my opinion, virtually all channels should be fighting over the ALF reruns! BTW, what's the Antenna channel?
