I'm just wondering if ABOFAL ever aired on television here in the United States, either on PBS, BBC America, or even the early days of A&E, Comedy Central and Bravo when the programming was considerably more open to British programs.

In the very early 90s it aired on Bravo. I recall seeing the 2nd series episode with Paul Eddington, where they ask how he would rate his timing. I picked up the Bit of Fry & Laurie of vhs tape not too much later and was disappointed that it didn't include that sketch.
Fortunately, Ah keep mah feathers numbered for just such an emergency!
