The original Georgina Cates or the better known Claire Buckfield?
I like both but definetly think Claire was the better actress and brought more to the character, however she did play her for 6 years over Georginas 1 year.
I liked Claire. I'm not sure why.
Is it just me, or did Georgina always look very pale?

def have too say my fav was claire also. she played the part too perfection. the other one was just annoying. at the end of season 2 when david was in his coma, it was a good job she wasn't near his bedside when he came round....poor sod would have thought he'd died and some plale skinned angel of death had come too claim him.
shareI liked them both, they were pretty similar. The original Jenny (Clare Woodgate!! She didn't change her name to Georgina Cates till after she left 2point4) was very cold and bitchy, and a bit stuck up. Claire Buckfield brought a warmth to the role I think, which made her more likable, but she did kind of lose the "edge" that the original Jenny had. So I guess it just depends what type of characteristics you prefer in a character. But overall I don't think they were all that different.

preferred Claire, like someone said the original looked ill a lot of the time. Plus Claie Buckfield was pretty hot (shallow i know but meh)

shareI agree Clare Buckfield brought more warmth to the role than Clare Woodgate (then known as), she seemed to be more likely the daughter of the 2 somehow.
sharei had forgot about there being 2 Jennys until i bought the first 2 series on DVD.
By that point i had re-watched so many of the later series over and over that it was strange to see Clare Woodgate in the role, but i think she fits the slower pace of the first 2 series and cant see anyone else but Claire Buckfield in series 3 - 8. i accept them both, as they each had something different to offer. i think had Clare Woodgate stayed then Jennys character would have been quite different and more miserable.
overall i definately prefer Claire Buckfield.

She brought the warmth in it. If you look from series 3 onwards David and Jenny are more affectionate to each other than they where in the first two series with clare woodgate.
Absolutely love the blues brothers scene as well, that's another time when the family show that they stick by each other...by helping jenny in her school audition...then clearing out there house that had burnt down during the show
claire woodgate aka georgin cates was the best jenny 4 me her acting was a lot better
