Ricky and Antonio Benitez (spoilers)

To those who have seen Law of Desire, did anybody else notice a strange similarity between Antonio and Ricky... Almodovar has used characters multiple times (Manuela from All About My Mother was a supporting character in The Flower Of My Secret) and maybe Ricky was inspired by Antonio from Law of Desire. And the reason the name was changed was because Antonio died in the end of Law of Desire... just putting in my two cents...

still haven't seen laws of desire but saw an interview with almodovar and banderas and although almodovar remained quiet, banderas said he really drew on his earlier work with almodovar, particularly laws of desire. i can't remember exactly what he said something about them having similar energy I think.
also, it is the same actor, writer and director so there're bound to be some similarities.
check out dvd extras if you're interested.

I would say that Ricky is totaly Victor from Live flesh:D

By the way if you saw Bad Guy from Kim ki-Duk- its practicly the same story with same result :P
