50x better on second viewing

I rented this from Netflix roughly five months ago and was somewhat disappointed, seeing it as being more of a Stephen Chow flick than John Woo (in terms of style and essence), but that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it. It just didn't find it as good as Woo's other masterpieces.

I rewatched this today and it was like watching a vastly different movie--it was so much better the second time around. The action was a million times better than I remember and the comedy was spectacular. I HIGHLY recommend that all fans of action and comedy check this out. It's just a great joy ride with fantastic shootouts that have less than a quarter of the blood in the typical Woo flick. I'm just not too sure about the Tri-Star dvd, tho.
