Keep an eye out for a goof, through out the length of the movie/film ... the number on Wayne's [Reed Rudy] varsity jacket starts out as the same as his football jersey, No. # 14. Later, between some takes he is seen wearing 'Cecil's' No. # 68 varsity jacket. This is clearly visible near the finale, when Wayne is about to get hit with the tomatoes.

mixup happened: Basically when we finished principal photography, the execs at ITC told me, "This film has no third act."
My response was, "Hey, I didn't write this, don't look at me!" Still, they looked at me, and said "We'll
give you ONE day to reshoot, try and figure out a way to come up with a third act."
Well, we had already shot Wayne getting splattered, but we now needed to shoot some additional scenes leading up to that. Our wonderful Costume Designer Jackie Johnson informed me that Wayne's #14 jacket now looked like tomato soup, so I said, "Let's use Cecil's. Nobody will pay attention -- and if they do, it will be part of the cult appreciation in years to come."
Fifteen years later, here we are. Most people don't realize that "Zapped Again!" has changed cinema as we know it. Hang on, I gotta get a Kleenex. I'm having an Auteur Moment.
In answer to other questions about release date, my poster says "Available on videocassette 1990." So
yeah, the film came out in 1990, and we shot it in 1989.
Oh, and by the way, the guy scratching his bare ass? Guess who.

Wow!!! is this really the "Doug Campbell"(director of ZAPPED AGAIN!? awesome, man. This was one ofmy favorite movies shortly after if cameout on video (VHS) in 1990-91. Quick question: "did you have anything to do with the Music Video finale: LEO SWIFT - "She's Gonna Get (Zapped Again)"? I've read so many comments about this video. The lead singer looks like Boy George and Vanilla Ice lovechild. Honesly, I loved the song, but that video........ is it for real? or was it supposed to have all the tongue in cheek humor.
And what was it like to work, or direct future "THE PRACTICE"(TV series) actress 'KELLI WILLIAMS(Lucy)"? I used to have (and still do) a huge crush on her.
