Thierry

I've just seen the movie and I must say, that I'm a bit stunned. Thierry is such a great character, and Judge Reinhold plays him SO brilliant. I cried, when he put the gun to his head. He's so desperate and unsure. And when he died it's *beep* I loved it,when Zen said his name instead of Johnny's when they were together the last time.
I don't think, she'd ever be with Johnny, she loves Thierry too much.

I agree with you, but I wished after he pulled the gun, that Thierry would
have gotten a little mad at Cage's character, instead of just asking who's for
some fishing.

The international version is so much better as it has more dialogue in
varius parts of the movie which help explain the characters a bit more.

I agree. Reinhold gave a fine and credible performance as Thierry.

Your review is right on about this movie. The painting scene between is very erotic. Thought even the very graphic love/sex scenes were tastefully done.
If you ever watched the international version, you will notice more
scenes which I think give more depth to the characters as it as more dialogue, than the seemingly rushed to edit U.S. version

Must respectfully disagree.

I thought Reinholds performance was very ham-fisted.

Nicolas Cage did a great job, but I have only seen it once, and once is nearly never enough to truly be able to make sure statements about any given movie.

I think the scene where she calls her husbands name was to let Johnny know she will never love him. She gave him what she felt he really always wanted, but her love was for husband. It was a great scene. Even with the death of her husband she still gave into sex and found out what she really needed/wanted was love.[Thierry]
