One of the most beautiful films ever

Creative, original, and visually stunning, the master filmmaker Kurosawa does it again. A must see. 10/10

Hi Allaby,

I hope you get a notification for my post. Me and another poster MovieManCin2 are great movie buffs just as you are. We are considering starting a "film discussion club" (or film discussion group if that's clearer). The idea as of now is that "members" of this club will choose a film by consensus (that we have all watched, or if you've not watched the film, you DO watch it) and then one of us opening a thread on that movie's board and posting discussion questions that we all answer. It's just a means to get us talking about films that we love and exchange ideas. We are looking for intelligent, knowledgeable posters to join this group, and we would love to have you join us to enrich our discussions. Would you be interested? This is not a formal thing. You can participate as much or as little as you like. If you are interested, please do reply to this post, and I will get back to you with more details. No problem if you're not interested. Thanks for your time!

Great! Thanks for responding. I will respond to this post when we decide upon a place for all of us to meet. Watch out for the next notification from me.

Hi Allaby,

I just opened a thread named "Film Discusion Group. Let's Discuss!" in the "Video" forum under the "Film Talk" category in which we can discuss a possible name for the group and also share ideas on how the group will function, and how we will choose movies for discussion. We would really love it if your shared your opinions with us. Thanks for sticking with this, and I'm sorry for the delay!!

I'd like to get on the list if possible? (Haven't seen Dreams, FWIW.)

Awesome Kazak! Good to have you on board. I haven't seen "Dreams" either, and that is no requirement. LOL. I will respond to this post once we have a meeting venue set up, and I hope you will be notified of it.

I completely agree it is creative, original, and visually stunning, even if I am a bit less enthusiastic about the film as a whole. This was the first and only Kurosawa film I ever saw in the theaters, so I do have affection for it.
