world trade center line

You know now the people involved in this movie are not feeling well about one of the characters saying.."We have enough C4 to blow up the World Trade center"
Little did they know what was going to happen 10 years later.....

P.S This movie plummets the depth of SciFi original style movies and would only have been better if it was Xtro vs. Gargoyle and Centipede. Oh, and throw in a giant shark!

reply

I'm sure they don't mind since nobody's seen the Xtro sequels.

Actually the World Trade Center was bombed 2 years after this film was released. Six people died and thousands received injuries. So if the writers ever did feel bad about what they wrote it was more than likely for that and not for 9/11.

In regards to your "P.S." - you are quite correct. This film truly is an unoriginal piece of cinematic crap. At least the first film is entertaining trash. If you have the region 1 Image dvd check out the interview with the director. It is hilarious as he thoroughly bashes both films!

I believe he has been somewhat brought around as to the merits of the original Xtro, though: he posts fairly often on the Xtro board here.

Yes I have now seen some of the posts. Believe me, I honestly love Xtro but it is still one big incoherent mess of a film. I'm sure he would agree with such a statement. I honestly wish more independent horror films like it could still be made today but those were much different times... By mentioning that Harry Davenport was hilarious in mocking his films I did not mean to insult the film or him. I find it great that he is so blatantly honest and revealing in the interview. It is not something you see everyday.

I've seen that interview with Davenport and it's refreshing to see a filmmaker be so candid about the films he's made. I believe he used the word "rubbish" in describing "Xtro".

What do you think this is, a signature? It's a way of life!
