Who else wanted to slap HER BOYFRIEND?!

Her boyfriend was such a schmuck to her! He asks what happened to her, and when she tells him...HE goes and throws up! Wow, way to be supportive & mature there guy. Puke on your own time, your girlfriend needs you!

And then he goes and runs the rapist down?!. How is that going to help her? Then she'll be all alone!
He was such a jackass.

"I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus."
"Didn't he discover America?"
"Penfold, shush."

Yeah, any boyfriend worth his salt would have put the truck in reverse and finished the job. What a loser!!!!!

"I'm not A1nut because I'm normal...."

It's a revolting feeling when another man has been inside UR woman via force, but he was man enough to run the rapist down!

IMDB as of late, sold out and became like City Data and about.com, worthless bureaucrats.

It wasn't the throwing up that annoyed me, it was just his entire reaction to the whole thing.

When he found out what had happened, he had the nerve to get angry at her and try to blame her for the whole thing. When he started ranting on about how she was asking for it, why didn't she run away, why didn't she scream, etc that's when I really wanted to slap him

It's like your girlfriend's just been raped FFS, shut up and stop blaming her and act like you give a damn!

I'm a rape survivor myself and my rapes were actually stalking and it lasted for months when I was a teen. Plus I was also sexually abused horribly as a child for a few years. I've been in a number of support groups on and off that included rape survivors and loved ones.

The boyfriends reaction was not surprising to me. Loved ones feel helpless when someone violates some with rape. They want to strike out in anger yet also break down and cry. It's a hard thing to process. Questions flood their mind too.

It took me 10yrs to come forward with the stalking and rapes that happened to me. I was pregnant with my third child and been married for about 8yrs. My husband took me to the police after I poured out my story to him. I saw his face as he took all this in. It broke my heart and when he heard the name of the guy who hurt me I'm positive he could have killed this man with his hands if he had access to him.

My point is this boyfriend reacted in a way many loved ones react. Questions are acts mainly because the loved one is trying to process how they could have helped. So if a man hears his girlfriend walked alone at night he blames himself for not being there yet also wants to know why she'd risk it walking alone at night. It's not blame. It's a question of why and how it happened.

My husband and I went through some therapy together and that is recommended these days for families and loved ones of rape survivors. So if this movie was made today it might show that.

I didn't mean this to be so long but many people forget the loved ones of rape survivors. They too need love and support.

Okay so I'm still in the middle of the movie and up to the part to where the boyfriend left and been gone 3wks. That ticks me off but some men just can't handle it. As the boyfriend said he kept picturing this rapist on her and doing things to her. I've spoke to some women who lost their boyfriend or husband after a rape. The man just can't process it. It's sad that it happens. But if a man can't accept it and deal with it then it is best he does leave because the woman needs to heal and she needs support.
