It's hard to believe somebody at the studio didn't stop Clint

This may be the very worst performance I have ever seen a major movie star give. The hammy way Clint moves his head and the way he delivers his lines is just so over the top awful it's shocking. How was this aloud to get made like this?

You may not know it but that character was directly based on John Huston, who behaved that way. Watch this, starting at 1:54 and going through to 3:40.

And that's him relaxed!

Did you watch Eastwood in that role? It just seems like a bad impression. It feels so unnatural and forced.

reply

Well okay it was a bit forced, but Eastwood isn't the best actor in the world. He tried to sound and act like Huston, a larger-than-!life character. Did you watch the video? Huston comes in at the 2 min. mark. And he's relaxed here, not all turned on making a movie...! Imagine him a little excited and stressed. Like Eastwood portrayed him.

Well it is an impression and I thought a pretty good one, bearing in mind that Clint looks nothing like Huston physically. But that is the way Huston moved and spoke.🐭

Oh give me a break! The "the very worst performance ever seen a major movie star give"? Seen many DiCaprio or Keanu movies?
