Not accurate depiction of Clyde, OH.

I hated this movie. Well, I've never really been a fan of the old weird movies from the 80's like this, Breakfast Club, and Sixteen Candles. Maybe it's a chick thing.

Anyways, this movie does not depict Clyde accurately. I've lived in Clyde all my life, and there is no lake(a resevoir and community pond), lol. I remember it was a big thing when they were filming the movie, then everybody seen it and said it sucked :)

I think the movie would have been much better if they actually portrayed it as it was. It would be cool. You'd see stoners and rednecks everywhere(and redneck stoners for that matter). Everybody would be getting drunk and high, lol, it would be awesome. There would be big bonfires out in the country. I think a Dazed and Confused in modern setting would be alot like Clyde.

I too am from Clyde. I have never seem the movie but plan to see it because I just today learned it was set in Clyde. Lake Erie is about 20 miles away from Clyde. You can get to Sandusky Bay, connects to Erie, very quickly from Clyde.
