pleasantly surprised!

I loved his Bava-esque cinematography in this film. Sure the acting was poor, but what do you expect? Another thing; just because it didn't have his signiture gore doesn't mean it sucks. Give this one a chance. It's different, bizarre and beautifully filmed. I also liked Manhatten Baby which a lot of people shunned, but The Black Cat threw me a little.

Me too. The gore wasn't overdone, but there were zombies and maggots. I liked it better than From Beyond or Murder Rock, but it's no Lizard In A Women's Skin, which may be Fulci's masterpiece.

Yeah, his giallos are interesting, but don't forget Beatrice Cenci, my absolutely fav!
