Edgar's body

What the heck did they do with his body? It certainly wouldn't just stay in the back of Earl and Val's truck. I don't know what the doctor would've done with it; they never mention bringing it anywhere. There's certainly no morgue in town, and they couldn't just bury him. Fred I could sort of understand, all that's left is his head, they just ran off and left him, but I don't know what they would've done with Edgar. Just struck me as something they should've at least mentioned.

Well, he died of natural causes. Also, it was alluded that he was a drunk (if you recall, Val climbs up the post saying along the lines "I gotta get your drunk arse off this poll" etc. I imagine the medics claimed it to be somewhere between alcoholism and dehydration.

Why, thank you, Thing!

But what happened to it? They never show EMT's coming out, or mention burying it - although I don't know that they'd legally be able to just randomly bury someone without any red tape at all. Just because he was a drunk or a bum doesn't mean his body can just be dumped or something! To me, that's a hole, they should've mentioned something about his body being on ice in Walter's refrigerator, or that they put it in Edgar's home, even that the doctor was going to take care of it, something other than just ignoring it! That's just me, I'm a dot i's, cross t's kind of person!

I always wondered how Val got Edgar down from the tower. Did he drop him? Knowing he couldn't get proper footing with cowboy boots and hoist at least a 250lb man over his shoulders and climb down.... as for Edgars body who knows. Maybe the doctor ate him

I always wondered how Val got Edgar down from the tower.

That is what I always wondered. I mean there is no safe way to get him down. There is no way they lowered him down with a rope. Val wasn't strong enough to carry him down.

I always assumed they just let him drop to the ground since he was already dead. If they had done that then the doc wouldn't have been able to determine his cause of death.

He died of dehydration.

How did his neck, arms and legs get broken then?

We dropped him off a power pole.

Why would drag a dead man to the top if a power pole?

reply

They are at the sight of Doc's house, so maybe the Doc put him in his car and drove to the nearest town morgue.

Upon realizing that Edgar was dead, Val quickly climbed down, then climbed back up with a rope. He tied one end around Edgar, threw the other end over a higher beam, and then down to Earl. They then very carefully lowered Edgar down.
