Do a video game semi sequel
Like the comic book sequel where it picks up after blue sky on Mars but with a few changes.
shareAs you know, I am convinced it is a dream. And so any sequel would be him laying in the chair at the Rekall lab lobotomized back on Earth... hardly that exciting for a continued story.
Funny enough, When Verhoeven was working on a sequel he expressed in interviews that the ending was truly ambiguous.... where after, when he knew a sequel was not going to happen, he expressed in interviews that the move was fairly clear of it being a dream.... it all depends. If you want a sequel, either we simply continue in his dream and put together some spaced-out crazy adventure, or we simply have him not being in a dream and it can go in any direction.... if we have to, I vote for the first. But in continuation of the first movie, he is now (then) lobotomized ....
Sequel would Lori kicking him in the balls trying to snap him out of his dream.
Sequel was gonna be based on Minority Report, after it fell through it became an adaptation by Spielberg and came out in 2002.
sequel could be he wakes up , back at recall , still a construction worker , Mars still enslaved ....
so he sets off to do it all again ... for real!
Then he finds theres are no Aliens , and hence no Terraforming Air machines, a bunch of miners and whorehouses , wholley dependent on earth and their company....
.... or he would wake up, but not at Rekall. A completely different place and even year. He had a dream, within a dream. He is not a muscular prime specimen of a man and has a bombshell of a wife waiting... he is completely normal joe, with no wife or any life to be proud of. However, the facility he wakes up at is empty and abandoned... da da daaaaa and an adventure of survival and detective work begin.... of course, it all ends with him being the hero in real-life too, and yet he cannot escape the feeling it is perhaps all a dream.... roll credits.
