Why didn't the Foot aim a little higher?

I mean if you can effectively disappear and reappear when people turn their backs, or in a puff of smoke or steam, why not just rob a bank or something? They ended up with a warehouse full of grandmothers' tube TVs that they have to resell, when they could have just had fat stacks of cash...

I know this is late, but my guess is if the foot went for broke and tried banks and other high profile targets, that they would get more people on their tail, where as they can steal goods and resell them for flat out cash with no questions.

I suppose it's money laundering either way. To wash their money, they need to sell the goods through a reliable fence, which they presumably have. To wash cash they would need some sort of business to put the money though. Just seems like if they can do the former, they can do the latter. I guess having a legitimate front wasn't appealing to them, with their whole living in the shadows thing.
