Stop making Mutant Turtle movies! this was the ONLY good one

I am be starting to sound old, but I was one of the kids in the Golden era in the late 80s early 90s as a 8 to 12 year old at the time this movie was out, the animation show was happening I was obsessed fan, had every single toy (still own them all) all the clothes, and this movie.

I watched this movie over and over, it was dark closest to true of what it should have been, then the parents complained and we ended up with Vanilla Ice garbage when the Turtles didn't even use their weapons,

then we had the CGI trash, now it's completely Michael Bayised into more garbage into 2016.

Who could save this franchise and actually turn it into what it should be? I don't think it can be done because they continue to keep F'''king it up

I'm with you as far as still having all my old TMNT toys, and merchandise, and loving the Ninja Turtles from the late 80's early 90's. That being said, I enjoyed the new Turtles movie immensely. Bebop, Rocksteady, Krang and Casey Jones. It was a site to see.

X-Men: Apocalypse 8/10. TMNT: Out of the Shadows 9/10. RIP Doris Roberts. You were wonderful in ELR.

The Michael Bay films are terrible. I agree with you.

I'm going to be completely honest, this film wasn't even that good.

Lessee I wouldve been 15 when I saw this. I agree, the first one was the closest to the comics factually n tonally n I think it's aged extremely well.

That said...

The last two Bay-produced flicks catch the spirit of the franchise while also giving so many mods to past iterations and are good fun and gets the turtles the best out of any version since this movie.

Last, I thought the recent movies did s fantastic job pulling from all aspects of the franchise into one nice whole.

I enjoyed the most recent movie a ton.

I actually prefer the Bay produced Ninja Turtles films more than the old ones, they are more of my cup of tea. The Turtles look like globs of green goo in turtle shells in the old movies where they were able to personalize their looks more in the newer ones. Also they weren't cowardly like the Turtles were at the end of Secret of the Ooze. And changing up the origin kept them from being another stale itteration of the characters.

Nah. Originals all the way.

X-Men: Apocalypse 8/10. TMNT: Out of the Shadows 9/10. RIP Doris Roberts. You were wonderful in ELR.

Wow what a complete and utter moron

reply

I did like the 2 previous Turtle movies more than I did with TMNT III and the 2007 animated movie.

reply

I thought the two recent movies are better than TMNT II: The Secret Of The Ooze and TMNT III but they don't quite hold up to this movie.

reply

I agree with the OP this is best we are ever going to get in my opinion. The turtles were a product of their time, this movies still holds up somewhat I wish they would leave ninja turtles alone.

Oh well at least we have the memories, I was obsessed with ninja turtles in the 80's and early 90's. I can't count how much money i spent on the arcade game at chuck e cheese
