Take me back to 1990

So i can watch this movie at our then local 2 dollar cheap theater and the following week play the TMNT 4 player arcade game at our local mall.

Good old days, I miss those arcades and Saturday morning cartoons

I was 13. And this movie...was one of the greatest theater going experiences of my young life.

It amazes me that with today's technology, the special effects, that this movie with guys dressed in turtle costumes designed by the Jim Henson Company---has more heart, humor, and story than today's current TMNT movies. The FX and look of the Turtles don't bother me in these new movies (as I know they bother some)---for me---it all comes down to the writing.

The only FX I had a problem with was-----1990 Shredder was SOOO much more menacing and threatening than the huge Robot-looking Shredder of today----and Splinter just didn't...feel...like Splinter. Of course, the 1990 flashbacks of a normal sized rat practicing Ninjitsu in a cage is enormously laughable now----it actually seems less stupid than Splinter learning the art of Ninja from a Book. Just my opinion.

If only we can turn back time no one has invented a time machine yet it's a shame the 90s was a good decade for films and music the 90s was the 60s of my generation.

reply

I like the 60's too.
