One of my all time favorite movies

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is one of my all time favorite movies still, after all these years. I'm 31, so I was growing up, when it first came on, TV, and I still have all the toys, and much of the merchandise. The first movie had great acting, especially Elias Koteas, who played Casey Jones. A highly underrated movie that got some really great reviews though. Joel Seigal from the Today Show I believe, said "Charmed the shell out of me. The most original idea in years." And it made over 150 million, so its a bonified blockbuster. I wish it got better treatment on DVD. Some extras would be nice. Deleted scenes, commentary, behind the scenes footage, outtakes, cast interviews would all be fantastic. I would love to hear all involved speak about this movie in retrospect, and the impact its had on their careers. This movie is great. Go buy it if you don't have it immediately.

I love it too. I'm 30 and can still watch this film with the same joy and excitement I had when I watched it as a kid. Every scene is great, the characters are awesome and it just never gets old or worse the older I get. One of the best adaptations too how it perfectly combined the original comics with the cartoon elements that everyone loved. The music was amazing too. That main theme is so good for Ninja Turtles. The new films can't even compare. Not even close.

Like Sanke I'm pushing 30 and have always been a fan. My parents actually have footage of me as a kid kicking and punching as I watched my VHS tape that I have to this day.

Love the movie too. I remember having the VHS and remember the costumes. To me, after seeing the second one without the original April was somewhat of a bummer. I did like the second one though. The first and second are my favs. I'd rather not watch any of the newer ones though. These two hold dearly.

One of my favorites too. The film is dark and pretty moody in parts. Like when Ralph is recuperating after the fire fight - what a scene. The rooftop battle where Shredder more or less beats the *beep* out of the turtles, then Splinter ends the madness.

I'm 30 also, and I recall ruining a TV set when I was like five because of this movie. I squirted the screen with a water gun when Shredder made an appearance and the water trickled into the buttons and scrambled the screen. This movie almost played a part in my death by electrocution!

I love the classic TMNT as well especially how dark the movie was. The First 3 is apart of my childhood and I used to watch these movies all the time. I still have the movie on VHS from when my mom brought it for me and my younger sister and brother.
