I have been a fan of Tatie Danielle since I first saw the video about 7 years ago. Since then I have been searching for the dvd of the film to add to my collection. Does such a product exist? If so, where is it available?

It's been two years since I last posted here, and there STILL isn't a region 1 dvd release available! Hmmm, maybe I should invest in a region-free dvd player! Another thing I could do is invest in a dvd player that will burn my vhs copy onto dvd.

TATIE DANIELLE has the typical fate of an "acclaimed" (but not blockbuster) European film in America; it aired on cable movie channels a few years after release for awhile, was released on video and then went out of print perhaps two years later and since then has pretty much disappeared on the American market. This still happens in the dvd era. There seems to be very limited interest in America for older foreign-language films beyond the acknowledged classics of cinema.
